Thanks for the time to reflect. As a result, we identified Communications as an element which requires an overhaul. Practical and demonstrable steps have been taken to improve. Our sessions helped to refine and achieve this. |
SUPERVISION OF COACHES
Coaching Supervision is the interaction that occurs when a coach periodically brings his or her coaching work experiences to a coaching supervisor in order to engage in reflective dialogue and collaborative learning for the development and benefit of the coach and his or her clients. For coaches, supervision is recognized as an important developmental tool, so Pranesh employs Procter’s Model of supervision and Hawkins & Smith 7 eyed model to provide value for all his supervisees. In so doing, he addresses such topics as Normative Functions (those that relate to the rules, norms, and responsibilities of professionalism), Formative Functions (those that are educational in nature and allow supervisees to grow and develop in knowledge and skills) as well as Restorative Functions (those that help the supervisee gain support and thus relief from some of the weight of the work through discharge of feelings and recharge of energy). |
As a new coach in training, coaching supervision has guided me in normative, formative and restorative ways. I grew in courage to offer appropriate challenge to balance the support given to my client. |
MENTOR COACHING
The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines Mentor Coaching as providing professional assistance in achieving and demonstrating the levels of coaching competency demanded by the desired credential level sought by a coach‐applicant, or mentee. Furthermore, Mentor Coaching means mentees are coached on their coaching skills rather than coaching on practice building, life balance, or other topics unrelated to the development of mentees' coaching skill. Pranesh's primary role is to work with coaches to enable them to become an extraordinary coach and be recognized for that in the marketplace by going for accreditation with the ICF. Pranesh does this in a supportive and collaborative environment, providing Mentor Coaching which meets the ICF requirement for credential purposes, and for Coaches to fine-tune their coaching skills in pursuit of coaching mastery. His commitment to his clients is as follows: 1) He listens to you and your experience to see whether he is the right fit for you, 2) You agree together on a fair price and the speed / frequency that works for you and that meets the ICF requirements of ten hours spread over three months, and 3) you engage in group work and he listens to your coaching one-on-one to hone in and sharpen your coaching conversation. |
Pranesh was amazing to work with for my coach mentoring. His professional preparation, guidance and feedback helped me to be truly prepared. As a now ICF accredited coach, I can highly recommend him as a coach mentor who cares! |
